Fujitsu has been appointed to the Australian Government’s Data Centre Facilities Supplies Panel.
The ICT services giant is one of 17 vendors appointed to the federal government panel, following on from its membership of earlier panels over an eight year period.
The appointment of Fujitsu includes the vendor’s supply of services across the public sector through its Noble Park Data Centre in Melbourne, which Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand CEO Mike Foster says has provided the “enviable track record of uninterrupted service – 100% continuous operation since 2006”.
Foster says the facility was the first in Australia to be certified using the NABERS rating scale that measures energy efficiency, water usage, waste management and indoor air quality within the built environment. “Noble Park was assessed as a 4-Star facility, which exceeded the minimum requirements of the Panel,” Foster said.
