The Fujitsu World Tour 2014 technology and services roadshow is coming to Australia for the first time next month.
The roadshow is set to be staged on Friday 18 July at the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney. Under the theme of ‘Reshaping ICT - Reshaping Business and Society’, it will showcase Fujitsu’s thought leadership and the latest trends in cloud, mobility and big data in the context of Fujitsu’s vision of the ‘Human Centric Intelligent Society’.
The event is part of a multi-city tour that will cover 23 cities across 5 continents this year.
Mike Foster, Chief Executive Officer, Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand, said that as well as featuring an array of thought leadership insights, the event will also include examples of world’s best practice presented by Fujitsu’s international customers, as well as one of the most comprehensive technology expos to be staged in Australia.

The event will host a mix of international and local speakers, who will address the needs of Australian business, and technology leaders with thought-leading discussions and insight. Keynote presenters include Chiseki Sagawa, Head of Fujitsu’s Global Software Centre, Dr Alex Bazin, who is responsible for Fujitsu’s global applications strategy, and David Gentle, Fujitsu’s Director of Foresight, who is responsible for shaping the development of Fujitsu’s portfolio to ensure it continues to evolve with future industry developments.
Fujitsu’s international and local customers will also participate, sharing their experiences in implementing innovative solutions with best practice ICT, and in line with the theme of the event, the conference content will focus on how organisations reshape the role of ICT within their business.
“We are delighted to be able to bring the best of Fujitsu to Australia through this high quality event,” Foster said.
“We have assembled a program that will be attractive to anyone interested in ICT strategy and innovation leadership in their organisation. Globally Fujitsu spends over US$2 billion in research and development each year and we are proud to be able to showcase some highlights of this innovation at the Sydney event.
“We have also been able to secure some of Fujitsu’s acknowledged thought leaders who will bring us up to date with not only what is coming, but also how it is being implemented today.”
The Technology Expo at the event will feature some of the latest innovations from Fujitsu including the unique Haptic Sensory Tablet, which incorporates the ability to ‘feel’ the texture of an object shown on a touch screen.
Other innovations to be displayed include a demonstration of SpatiOWL, which is a multi-layered geospatial processing engine that allows users to analyse movements and trends through time and space.
